Art has been part of my life as long as I can remember. For many years I was a batik and fabric artist, taught high school and was worked as a guidance counselor. Retirement sent me back to art, and this time it was pastels. I love the process of watching a beautiful image emerge from the sanded paper. It is like finger painting with dry dyes. Pastels are the only mediums where you can keep tweaking until the picture is just right.
We travel throughout the West looking for old towns, unusual trees, and anything that has high contrast, history and is just plain interesting.
My family and friends are my greatest supporters, often finding locations, helping with shows and enjoying the process of seeing the world through new eyes.
I am blessed with being able to create paintings that are unique, healing and bring joy to others.
